Camping Serro da Bica

Our small campsite is in the Baixo Alentejo in the Soutwest of Portugal. On the various large terraces you can campin the shade of the cork- and holm oak trees, with views over the surrounding countryside.

Facilities: Our new sanitary block offers free hot showers and a large (dish)washing area with hot water, all with floorheating. In the bar or on the terrace you can enjoy a drink and a chat in the early evening. We also offer WiFi facilities, all over the site.

Surroundings: Our land is bordered by the river Mira (fishing and swimming). Approximately 6 kilometers away is the Sta. Clara reservoir, one of the biggest in Portugal. You can also do the archaeological trail. The area is a walkers paradise, for an example follow the river Mira to the reservoir (6 km). The small village Fernão-Vaz is within walking distance (1 km) and the town of Ourique is 10 km away. Driving 65 km to the west will bring you to the Costa Dourada with its capricious rock formations overlooking a number of small beaches. A drive of 60 km to the South will bring you to Albufeira in the middle of the Algarve. The Serra de Monchique is a 20 minute drive to the Southwest.
